A long time ago, back in 1950-ties, one of the favorites of Moscovites, “Sokolniki” Park opened its doors for a few exposition pavilions. Accomplished following the latest design technologies, these pavilions became a place of holding of the first international exposition in Russia "The Industrial Products in the USA". This event that took place in 1959 was a bright and remarkable start of “Sokolniki” Park as an exposition center.

Nowadays the cultural and exposition center “Sokolniki” hosts 13 pavilions with the total surface of 33 000 sq.m. Event though the history of “Sokolniki” is counted in decades, the park “breathes” the spirit of today. On the threshold of the year 2007, all the participants and guests of the exhibitions are welcomed in the renovated pavilions that correspond to all the international standards. They are equipped with modern means of communication, engineer systems and comfortable access ways . The table below lists the most essential characteristics of the 13 pavilions.

Following the results of the year 2005, the International exposition holding MVK, a partner of KVC “Sokolniki” held 83 expositions and salon on its territory.
Among them are such well-known exhibitions that received a universal recognition as “ International Industrial Week” , "Cabex", "Ekviros", "PCVEXPO", "Rossvarka/WELDEX", "International Construction Week", "Analyticaexpo", "Telogreika", "Geoform+", "Label", "Flowerex", "Russian Educational Forum" and many others. 860.000 visitors have walked across the vast pavilions of the center.
More than 8.000 exponents offered them their services and the mutually advantageous cooperation.
The total of the exposition area surpasses 210.000 sq.m.

During the decades of its activity, the KVC “Sokolniki” acquired a status of a highly professional company. Its priority is opening and holding of international segmented and targeted international expositions that address its particular audience. The main mission of the center consists in assuring for each segment of the Russian industry the holding of their own professional exhibitions demonstrating their technical and technological achievements and representing a true indicator of the changes within the segment.

For each exposition that is held on the territory of “Sokolniki” a rich business program is carefully prepared: subject seminars and conferences, round tables on the most up-to-date segments, competitions for different branches of industry.

KVC “Sokolniki” is remarkable for its highly developed infrastructure. It hosts security services, numerous cafes and restaurants, paintball club, sport grounds, cash-machine, information dest, library, post office, medical station and many other institutions. The park zone of “Sokolniki” is also decorated in a picturesque way every year. During the period of its activity, the center has becaome an active member of such Russian and International organizations as Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry, UFI, Russian Union of Expositions and Fairs and many others.

In the course of its history that counts more than 46 years, “Sokolniki” park was transformed in a cultural and recreational center “Sokolniki” – an institution with a rich infrastructure and a well-developed network of services that include a complex attendance to the exponents, guests and organizers of the expositions.
